Meet our Administrative Faculty, Dr. Brian Dozer
I am extremely excited to be joining CALIMT as Administrative Faculty.
I was attracted to CALIMT because of its commitment to student learning outcomes, in particular the focus on applying experience to real world issues and the development of problem-solving skills. Additionally, I think CALIMT offers a tremendous opportunity for students interested in acquiring and learning the skills used in doing business across cultures. In our rapidly changing, globalized business environment these skills are critical for success and few MBA programs offer the focus on this sensitivity to and awareness of cultural differences. Lastly, our focus on ethics and social responsibility comes at a time when intense competition amid globalization can push organizations and employees to cut ethical corners and behave in irresponsible ways, and when world leaders are not leading by example in this area.
In my capacity I will be focusing on curriculum and content development, academic performance improvement, instructor management, and academic advising. I look forward to helping CALIMT grow in these areas and overall as we focus on providing the best online education to our students.
Prior to going back to school for my doctorate, I spent 20 years in sales and sales management, primarily in the broadcast advertising and marketing industries, holding various leadership positions. Through that experience I gained valuable knowledge and developed excellent communications, analytical, and organizational skills. More recently, I have enjoyed teaching undergraduate and graduate students in traditional classroom and online classes. Primarily I have taught management, leadership, and organizational behavior classes. My research interests are centered on leadership and motivation in nonprofit organizations, an area that is rich in potential research topics and underserved by the academic and consulting community. I am a passionate believer in helping others and firmly believe that one of the most effective means of doing that is through education.
Brian Dozer, D. Mgt.
